Wow! The Georgia Aquarium Rocks!

Steve and I spend the day at the Georgia Aquarium as a celebration of Valentines Day. (I got an MP3 player and Steve got 2 shirts, a hat, colone and fudge) It is a definite must see for anyone in the area. We are so disappointed that we did not get season passes and they are no longer selling them. I can not describe how amazing it was.

The design and layout of the place was ingenious. There are five galleries linked together with a sitting and dinning area. You are free to go into any of the areas at your leisure. There are also many areas designed to “pet” the fish and other aquatic life. On of the best parts was the large “window” into the ocean tank. This should be something similar to what we would see when/if we scuba dive in Belize in June.

This is one of the bulga whales. We were viewing from the second level and this photo gives a nice idea of the size of the whales and the size of the windows.

The Tropical Diver tanks need cleaning daily.

Saturday night Steve and I attended a surprise birthday party for one his best friend and former roommate, David. Steve really had lots of fun hanging out with his high school friends. He even surprised me by showing the group his buck dancing skills (he had not told me about his skills and awards won until last week). It was entertaining, but we stayed out way past my bedtime

I have spent some time this weekend registering for wedding gifts at Target and Belk. It was fun to register for all the things that I thought we could use. It was really time consuming and difficult to make sure we got everything we need and did not register for duplicates. I still have some modifications to make in the next few weeks. I never realized how crazy this wedding planning is. Just when I think I am ahead and have a handle on it, I find out how much more we have to do.

More pictures (hopefully) to follow.
