Down to the Final Seconds...

Steve did not expect the game against Coloroda to be that close or excitine. We chose not to face the heat of the statium and scalper ticket prices to stay home to work. Steve spent the morning tieing flys and I cleaned the house. We went out for lunch, grocerie shoping and a trip to Home Depot. As we listened to Munson on the radio, we could not believe how bad we were losing. It was 0 to 13 until the 4th quarter. We can home just in time to watch the last 3 or 4 minutes. As you can see Steve is in his red, wearing his UGA hat and watching the game on our "big screen!"

Wow! I never thought I would be excited to pay $2.12 for a gallon of gas. I found it in Habersham Co. while I hadjust left Ben's winning football game. Go Indians.

We had a blast at the GA game on Saturday. Steve and I went with my uncle, Lamar, and his son Ben. We had seats in the 600 section. That is the new "nose bleed"section. It was really cool being that high up. we had a great view of the field, band and were above the cheerleaders, which I am certain the guys did not mind.

Happy Weekend

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for mom. She came home yesterday around lunch. Her surgery went great, even better than the doctor had expected. She is still very sore and has been a bit nauseated the last 24 hours.
Ben and the LCMS football team won their game Thursday. Steve was there to support the home team, since I could not be. We are excited about attending the UGA game today against UAB. I think the weather will be great if the current trend continues. The air is a bit cool and a slight wind. I can certainly feel fall in the air. I will try really hard to remember my camera this weekend.

Althought we will not be able to attend our younger cousin, Ben's football game tomorrow, we wish him the best of luck as the Lumpkin County Middle School Indians are currently undefeated. Go Ben #64!

Mom's Surgery

My mom (Kelly) is having back surgery tomorrow morning in Atlanta. The surgery should last about an hour and she should return home Friday evening. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I am taking off work tomorrow so I can be there, but I am planning on working on Friday.

Nothing Exciting...

We have not posted any recent blogs because our lives have been less then eventful. Today we rode to the Jockey Lot, basically a flea market, in SC. What a waste of time. We saw nothing but junk. Yesterday we spent some time kayaking again. It was the first time in several weeks. Earlier in the week I was really sick with sinus pressure, headache, and all the other horrible head cold stuff, so I came home early from work and spend many hours sleeping. On Labor Day weekend we took a Jeep ride over Blood Mnt. thru Murphy, NC to the Occoee River and Ducktown, TN, then back home via the forestry service roads near Suches, GA. We have no photos to post, because I can never remember to bring my camera on this spontaneous adventures.
