Pictures of Buddy and Fishy from several weeks ago..

I have been really behind on blogging. All the children are doing great. Buddy is really growing. His favorite food is dog food, I think he wishes he was a dog.
Steve spend last week in Wisconsin bird hunting with Crates. Photos will be posted soon. While he was gone, he dad had heart problems again. After being in the hospital all week, he had a stink put in his aorta on Friday. He is now home and doing very good ( I think he is better than the rest of us).
Work was a challenge as we have just finished the first nine weeks. I had grades to complete and got my second group of new kids on Thursday.

This week...

Steve got a new pepper cooker. We have had shrimp stuffed peppers several times in the past few weeks. They are yummy!
Buddy is still doing very good. He is now down to two milk feedings a day, and loves eating peanuts, sunflower seed and dry corn.





It is really hard to believe how much he has grown in the past two weeks.

Yesterday we spend the day in Athens. The weather was great and there were not too many people as the game was a late away game. We walked around town had lunch at the Mellow Mushroom. We had fun, but there was too many places I wanted to see that I did not have time for. I guess I will have to make another trip again soon.

Buddy is pretty sure he is the coolest squirrel ever. He stays in the garage in Fishy kennel (no she is not in there, she is in Savannah's kennel.) When he is cold or hungry he escapes the kennel and waits at the door making his noises so we will notice him. Steve has really taken on the mommy role, so Buddy says, "I have two mommies!"

Buddy and Fishy

We spent the day in Frogtown. Fishy was so excited. She had not been to the river in several weeks.







What a bizarre start to a weekend. Buddy is the baby squirrel that we found in the middle of the road on Friday. We think he is about a month old. We have been feeding him puppy formula (via the info on many websites) we also let him munch on part of a cracker. We think we are going to keep him until he is about 8 weeks old and able to live outside on his own. Steve is being an awesome mother/father. He makes sure Buddy is fed with 6cc of warm milk 4 times a day. The dogs have not really met Buddy. Fishy has walked by us a couple of times while we were holding him, but she totally ignores him. We would like for them to become buds at some point, but I don't know.

Meet the newest addition to our family...Buddy. We found Buddy in the middle of Hwy 52 yesterday . He was literally being straddled by cars as Steve dashed into the road to save him.

Still working on the floor

Our entire weekend has been spent working on the floor. It has been a great learning experience and in some strange way it has been fun as well. While getting ready to put the furniture back I have spent some time doing "spring cleaning", hopefully stuff I want have to re-do before putting the house on the market later this year.

Yes, Mommy. I do like the new floor very much, but it is a bit hard. Is there anything we can do about that? How about a new blankey?

Are ya'll done yet? I really want to go swimming. All this work is such a bore.
