Playtime then Frogtown

To enjoy the wonderful weather we had an hour or so of doggie playtime then Steve and I went to Frogtown. Due to the lack of rain the river is about a foot or so low.

Crates is now learning to be the perfect model.

It is so hard to believe that Fishy is as big as Crates. I think she has finally met her match with him because he will not let her run over him like she does the other dogs.

Savannah, Fishy & Crates

So much for getting a picture of me with all the children. They think it is much more fun to just play tag and let them all be "it."

Tut does not like it when Crates get too close to me.
He knows he was the first child and wants all the attention.

Crates, he as been eating grass.

Tut resting after the children have run him around the yard.

Savannah is chilling too.

My big baby boy!

The river is just so wonderful and peaceful!

Halloween

These are Halloween pics from several years ago. This year we just went out for dinner and went to Steve's parents for Halloween. I wanted to make outfits for the dogs, and take them trick or treating, but did not have time. I worked late several evenings at school and Steve has been working on the house in town, getting it ready to sell.

Saturday

WE LOVE THE FALL.
Northeast GA is such a great place to live in the fall.

Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day. It was like one of those picture perfect days. I would even go so far as to say this is the best weekend of the year with the great weather and the leaves almost at peak. Saturday morning we went to the moonshine festival in Dawsonville. Fishy went with us, this was her second festival in two weeks and she was really tired when we got home. We got instructions on how to make moonshine by Dwight in his replica of a still.

The set up

More instructions, I hope Steve is listening.

And finally the moonshine is done and we have the car to "run the shine" with.
Fishy was totally exhausted after the Moonshine Festival.
She went sound asleep on the way home.

After the festival we attended a Fall Festival at a friends house. We had so much fun and ate so much , I did not even have time to take pictures. We listened to the GA vs FL game from my car while shooting skits for hours. They had an incredible set up. We then move to the barn, and I use that term loosely, because it was truly nice enough to live in. We were told we were going to have a low country boil, which both of us were very excited about. Then we saw all the great food and it beat any expection that we ever had. We have both agreed it was the best and nicest mean we have ever had. They had the largest King Crab legs ever (about a pound each), huge shrimp (both wild caught and flown in from Alaska yesterday) , steaks, grilled corn, potatoes, in addition to wonderful appetizers and amazing desserts. We were so stuffed, so much for any form of a diet this weekend. We hung out for a camp fire that was complete with singing.

This was kinda like tailgating....
GA beat FL... finally!

Steve skit shooting. What an incredible view. I shot several times and finally hit one, but my shoulder is slightly sore this morning for some reason.

Today we are off to Frogtown to play!
Yikes - I have school work and laundry to do...guess that will have to wait!

He Grew Up and We Let Him Go...

Sunday was a beautiful day, and it seemed as if the perfect day to give Buddy his freedom. He had ran up a tree for about an hour on Thursday, so we thought he wanted to be wild and free to roam in the woods. Steve and I spent a wonderful hour saying our good-byes. He was very loving and jumped between the both of us. I have many scratches on my arms from him running up and down.

I think I have a critter on me!

We moved his house outside, so he would have a safe place, and even covered it with a tarp so he could stay dry this week.

"I have had about enough of that flash!"

We spread food all over the deck, so he would have plenty to eat.

He was so cute when he chewed, yawned, drank water... he was just cute all the time.

Buddy felt the need to relieve himself on Steve's hat before our final goodbye.

Buddy liked his new world and left the cage ASAP when we put him inside.

We thought he was leaving at this point...

...But no fear he returned to play and say goodbye again.

Buddy, We will always love you!

Mommy and me!

Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day. Steve and I went to Gold Rush for a few hours. We even watched the parade , that we had not seen in several years. Afterwards we rode to Jasper to visit the Bargin Barn. The ride over was really nice. The leaves have not peaked yet. I think it may take a few more weeks.

Today was are going to take Fishy to Gold Rush so she can have some social time.

It is truly hard to believe how much she has grown!
