Steve's Birthday
On Sunday, Ted made Steve a birthday dinner with our new favorite fish yellowfin tuna. Ted had caught the tuna himself (with the environmentally friendly hook and line) in Gulf Shores on Saturday. I made my best ever key lime pie, but I forgot to take a photograph.
When he was still cooking we just at the fish with soy sauce.
I will certainly have the best lunch in class today.
I hope my lunch box does not get stolen.
(Like Teds car was almost stolen in AL.
Worse than the car would have been our dinner, and several other fish, that were inside.)

How we study..
Fish watches as Steve studies for his pilots test.
I lay on the hammock to type (and surf the net).
Sometimes (often) I get distracted and just look around at the sky.
Then I have to come inside to my office (cave) in the basement to work.
Fishy likes it much better when I am outside, though.

Right to Hike
Right to Hike
is an organization established in memory of Meredith Emerson.
We are going to eat at Applebee's tonight!
* An update-
We ate at Applebee's with our friends Tina and Carey. We had a wonderful meal. We also spoke with three of the volunteer firefighters from Union Co. that helped search for Meredith. One of the guys keeps in weekly contact with her family and room mate. He also said that Meredith almost got the best of Gary Michael Hilton and when they got him in custody he was all beaten up and had broken ribs (I had also heard earlier that maybe she had broke his arm and well).
May her memory live on and other continue to hike in her honor.

Blood Mountain
Today Fishy, K.T. (Fishy aunt), Paige and I did a quick hike up Blood Mountain.

We got new cell phones...
I now must say good bye to a great friend of 4 years...
Today is the day I have been waiting for. I have never got really excited about a release date of something, until now. Earlier this spring we upgraded our cell plans to a "simply everything" plan.
The new phone is a Samsung Instinct.
What I have been doing...
I have been busy and having some fun since last blogging...
My family had another "barn party" and I was finally about to use my "cooler hauler" that I got for mothers day. Well it can haul much more that just a cooler, but I am sure that is what it will be used for most.
I have spent lots of time before I started school to work on making rag quilts. I really enjoy these quilts because they are fun to make and use. You never know I might make one for you next...
The Wed. was my first day back to school. It is really hard to believe that it have been five years since I finished my masters. I packed my green jansport with all my goodies and I was ready for orientation. Ironically enough, this was the pack back that I bought for my first day of Piedmont during my freshman year.
During orientation we heard the final presentations of the last cohourt group. I think I have a long road ahead of me, but I know that I can do it. I can do anything for a year. .. I can do anything for a year... I can do anything for a year... I can do anything for a year...

Deana's Shower invitations

There are the invitations mom and I have made for my cousin Deana's baby shower. She is having a boy, Cameron Dean Fountain, in September.
Our Second Anniversary
We celebrated our second anniversary on June 3rd.
I was too cheap to pay $4 for a card, so I purchased a generic card. "Do I Love You?" was on the cover then I wrote in the inside...I told him that I refused to pay as much for a card as a gallon of gas cost.
Steve got me the perfect card. It describes how busy we are, but that we still love each other. This was the same card I had on my hand to get him. Funny how we think alike...
I got Steve a Filson fly rod case for a 4 piece rod. We got each other the Buffett tickets, well he did find them and pay for them...
I have not found a gift yet, so he still owes me one...

Snuffy, my little, little brother
Mom wanted new pictures of Snuffy for the livingroom. I know that she must have more pictures of her fourlegged children than Lacey or myself.
Sorry I could not make the pictures rotate, so either tilt your hear or rotate the screen .

Mr./Miss Bunny
My aunt found the bunny on Saturday morning. She took it away from her dogs, as the dogs has taken it away from a large black snake. I has a cut ( I think from the snake) on its hip. I think the cut will be healed in a few days and it will be free to go home in the wild. It is eating like crazy. It loves carrot, different types of grasses and clover.
* Just a side note, Bunny did not make it. Bunny said good bye late evening on June 10th. Bunny is now in Heaven, playing with all that have gone on before. I am sure Bunny and Buddy are chasing each other while Zeck is barking at them, telling them they are annoying!
At least Bunny had a few extra days had was not lunch for the snake...
This Past Weekend...
I feel like I have spent the entire summer playing...hey at least we have had fun...
We took Rush and Fishy to the Lake on Sunday. After the lake we had a low country boil, with crawfish! No I really dont like the crawfish, but I love to potatoes and corn!
Now I am tired and I still have housework to finish...
