Tinkerbelle and the Big Chicken

We saw Tinkerbelle again and I got to see the Big Chicken. Who would have thought I could have that much luck in one day. As I was going to pick up Steve’s mom he called to tell me there was a monkey from Chestatee Wildlife Preserve at the local produce stand. I got there before Steve did and was delighted to see it was Tinkerbelle. She has grown so much since we saw her last. I think she really likes Steve. She wanted to stay right with him, and was fixated on him when she was with someone else. I did not play with her that much. She has little control over her very active bowels, and I did not want to go all day with “monkey poop” on me or worse yet, in my hair. Steve and I are really thinking about volunteering at the Preserve this summer. I think it would be really cool to be around all the animals and of course photograph them.
Steve’s adventure continued with my family for the rest of the day. He shot pistols at the river and hung out with my dad. I spent the day with his mom. She has the energy of a ten year old and is non stop.

She had been to Hiawassee early yesterday morning and was ready for us to leave by noon.

I thought she knew directions to Atlanta Sewing, but she only had a slight clue. We got on Roswell Road (Hwy 120), but did not turn on Piedmont Road as we should have. So we ended up at the Big Chicken. I was really excited. I do not think that I have ever seen this Atlanta landmark in person. She was not exited, but very stressed that we would not find the store before they closed. We got directions from a great convenient store worker and then had no problems. After some addition challenges I got her computer software to work with her sewing machine, and now she is ready to digitize and sew.

This week in 2006

Froggie really enjoyed her first week. She went to school and hung out with me several day. I started going to the gym again on Monday. I thought I better try to lose weight for the wedding/honeymoon. Last night Steve and I watched the 40 Year Old Virgin. Steve liked it, but I thought it was funny, but a bit crude. Yeah, I would rather watch Office Space. Steve and I thought we were going hiking today, but instead I am going to take his mom to Atlanta this afternoon to pick up the sewing software for her new laptop. It will be fun as I also need to make a few stops in the area. I am not sure what Steve is doing. He said something about taking the boat to the lake. That would be a good ideas since we have not used the boat since June.

An Addition to the Family

This weekend, Steve and I had a new addition to the family – Froggie White-Bryant. Froggie
Tut and Froggie
She was born 1-21-06 at Build a Bear at North Point Mall. She weighed 13 oz and was 17 inches long. We made her a fishing frog with feetless waders(I am really worried about her feet getting cold and wet, but Steve assures me that she will be fine). She says “I love you! I love you!” She has been on all the Kelly and Steve adventures this weekend –shopping for Steve shorts and going out to eat for moms birthday. As you can see Tut is not sure he likes his new stuffed frog sister.

Happy New Years

I am finally feeling much better. I got my new group of kids this week. I think I can work well with them. I met with the florist this week and have scheduled all the flower stuff for teh wedding. Yesterday I went bridesmaid dress shopping. We found black tea lenght dresses at JC Penneys in Buford. I also found shoes to wear with my wedding dress at the mall. I am glad to be accomplishing so much so early this year.
I am excited that I do not have school tomorrow and am hoping that Steve and I can go hiking after he works in the morning.

This is a blurb that I had written on Monday and did not post.

No fun! I have been sick all weekend and could not go to work today. I have had a fever ached, pains and sore throat. Needless to say that I had no fun this weekend. I guess it has been over a week since I last “blogged”. We did nothing for new years. We thought about going to see the peach drop, but then I knew it would be so last when I go home. We had planed to watch the apple drop on t.v. at my house, but Steve got sick and had to go home. So Steve slept as the new years entered and I went to target to buy more Christmas decorations (now at 75% off). It really sucked not being together at new years. I hope we are never apart again. I returned to school last Monday for two teacher workdays and the kids did not begin until Wednesday. I have been working on wedding stuff. We are going this weekend to pick out bridesmaid dresses. I also have an appointment with the florist this week. I booked a photographer before Christmas, and Steve is working on the rehearsal dinner and honeymoon(Belize?)!
