Tinkerbelle and the Big Chicken

We saw Tinkerbelle again and I got to see the Big Chicken. Who would have thought I could have that much luck in one day. As I was going to pick up Steve’s mom he called to tell me there was a monkey from Chestatee Wildlife Preserve at the local produce stand. I got there before Steve did and was delighted to see it was Tinkerbelle. She has grown so much since we saw her last. I think she really likes Steve. She wanted to stay right with him, and was fixated on him when she was with someone else. I did not play with her that much. She has little control over her very active bowels, and I did not want to go all day with “monkey poop” on me or worse yet, in my hair. Steve and I are really thinking about volunteering at the Preserve this summer. I think it would be really cool to be around all the animals and of course photograph them.
Steve’s adventure continued with my family for the rest of the day. He shot pistols at the river and hung out with my dad. I spent the day with his mom. She has the energy of a ten year old and is non stop.

She had been to Hiawassee early yesterday morning and was ready for us to leave by noon.

I thought she knew directions to Atlanta Sewing, but she only had a slight clue. We got on Roswell Road (Hwy 120), but did not turn on Piedmont Road as we should have. So we ended up at the Big Chicken. I was really excited. I do not think that I have ever seen this Atlanta landmark in person. She was not exited, but very stressed that we would not find the store before they closed. We got directions from a great convenient store worker and then had no problems. After some addition challenges I got her computer software to work with her sewing machine, and now she is ready to digitize and sew.
