Today Steve's family and friends gathered at Mount Vernon in Gainesville, GA to celebrate his Dad's 60 years of peaching. Dean preached his first sermon at the age of 17 at Mount Vernon Aug. 1950. Since that time he has preached thousands of sermons at countless churches in and around the Appalachian mountains. He is truly an amazing person that has made an impact on many lives. He is my favorite father-in-law!
