Shellman Bluff - Spring Break 2010

Steve and I spend a few days at the Georgia coast for spring break. We spent a little time fishing, but most of our time was spent playing and enjoying nature. We played on and around Blackbeard Island, Sapelo Island and Cabretta Creek.

Birds were everywhere.

The birds loved Blackbeard Island almost as much as we did.

Sand dollars were all over Blackbeard Island.

We even found a dead horseshoe crab.

We found several ladders on the back side of Sapelo.
When I climbed up, there were great views of the water and island.

Steve got a bit muddy while trying to get a picture of the gator.
I am thing that he was trying to catch the gator.

Steve got a picture of one of the four gators we saw.

Pine cones in the maritime forest on Sapelo.

I love to play with the camera while Steve is navigating.

Time to take the boat out. Steve drives the boat and I drive the truck and trailer!

The shrimp boat only had one more week before the 2010 season opens.
They were looking all clean and shiny.

Lovin' some GA wild caught shrimp.
