School was dismissed at 1:oo due to the possibility of snow... I was not even so sure that we would get any at home, so Steve and I went in search of snow. We bundled up and headed out (the rear and side windows were out of the Jeep, so it made for a cold ride).
We began at Nimblewheel to Winding Stair Gap, headed over Springer Mountain, to Double Gap Road and came back home over Woody Gap.

There was only "that" much snow when we first got to the NFS roads.
We were happily surprised to find about an inch of snow at home.
