Sunshine on a November weekend, gotta love it!

Sunday we had a great Jeep ride in the Forestry service roads. We started around Jones Creek and ended up around Noontootla in Fannin County.

My new philosophy... if you can not be photogenic at least you can be goofy!

I was all dressed up in my fishergirl vest!

We were horribly saddened to find the hemlocks in the forest had been attacked by the woolly adelgid, an aphid-like insect native to Asia. Ironically enough this was the weekend of the Hemlock Festival.

We came across a very old cemetery, Hickory Flatts near Noontootla Creek.
It is right off the AT.

Most of the readable tombstones were from the Long family. Thus it is Long Creek that runs into Noontootla.

There was still some color on the leaves.
