These are Steve's childhood favorite Christmas treats.

2 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup Crisco
2 teaspoon vanilla
5 cups self rising flour (White Lily)
3 eggs & 1/2 cup milk beat together
Bake @ 400 till light brown
This recipe is from Mrs. Brown "a little old lady that was a hundred or more" when Steve was little and went to church where his daddy was preaching. She died this past summer.
Steve's mom has made them for him twice this year. They are really yummy and not too sweet.
