The week before Christmas...

It is the week before Christmas and all through the house I have been cleaning and wrapping gifts. Most every day I have continued to deep clean the house. I am attempting to scrub ever scrubable surface. It seems like a never ending chore, with the dogs and others constantly bringing in dirt and fur. And the laundry! I never knew two people could have so many dirty clothes.

Wednesday moring Steve and I took the new boat to the lake for a quick cold trip. The lake is so low, it was hard to dock the boat so Steve could pull the trailer into the water, so we thought it was be a good idea for me to do that. Needless to say I now know why I am not a "real truck driver." I could not get the trailer on the ramp straight, so finally I had to hold the boat near the dock while Steve pulled the trailer into the water. Afterwards we went to Mall of GA and Bass Pro so Steve could finish Christmas shopping.

I am now getting ready for my families to come to the house for Christmas Eve. Mom and I have been baking treats! We are planning to leave mid-day on Christmas day for our Florida adventure.

What's with all the scrubbing and washing? Put that husband of yours to work, Kelly! (I'm lucky. Mine does the laundry AND the dishes!) Seriously, though, have a merry Christmas down there in Georgia and a happy New Year.

Well silly me, I kinda enjoy the laundry, so Steve have to clean the kitchen and bathrooms! I guess this marriage stuff is give and take!
