GO DAWGS!
We had a blast at the GA game on Saturday. Steve and I went with my uncle, Lamar, and his son Ben. We had seats in the 600 section. That is the new "nose bleed"section. It was really cool being that high up. we had a great view of the field, band and were above the cheerleaders, which I am certain the guys did not mind.

LCMS football
Althought we will not be able to attend our younger cousin, Ben's football game tomorrow, we wish him the best of luck as the Lumpkin County Middle School Indians are currently undefeated. Go Ben #64!
Mom's Surgery
My mom (Kelly) is having back surgery tomorrow morning in Atlanta. The surgery should last about an hour and she should return home Friday evening. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I am taking off work tomorrow so I can be there, but I am planning on working on Friday.

Nothing Exciting...
We have not posted any recent blogs because our lives have been less then eventful. Today we rode to the Jockey Lot, basically a flea market, in SC. What a waste of time. We saw nothing but junk. Yesterday we spent some time kayaking again. It was the first time in several weeks. Earlier in the week I was really sick with sinus pressure, headache, and all the other horrible head cold stuff, so I came home early from work and spend many hours sleeping. On Labor Day weekend we took a Jeep ride over Blood Mnt. thru Murphy, NC to the Occoee River and Ducktown, TN, then back home via the forestry service roads near Suches, GA. We have no photos to post, because I can never remember to bring my camera on this spontaneous adventures.

This weekend
This weekend was very uneventful. I pulled something in my back early Saturday morning and could not kayak or do much of anything else fun. I took medicine that just made me sleep and fell "druggy". I am glad to say that I feel much better now with only a little pain.
I did manage to take some engagement photos for Lacey and Alan. I think they have finally set a wedding date of May 5. Seems like I just finishedy wedding and now I am helping my little sister get plan hers.

Our Bunny Ear
We realized that we had not blogged about our 13 inch black and white t.v. with a bunny ear (not ears). I think I got the t.v. from Santa when I was about five. (Maybe we should purchase other Panasonic products.) We can watch local PBS, ABS and FOX channels. We can also get the sound or picture (but not both at the same time) on several UHF channel - the cool channels according to Steve. Why waste money on satellite when we can watch a couple of channels for free?
Wow!!!! Steve just had a major epiphany......he put aluminum foil on the "ear" and now we have most of the normal UHF channels - 17, 30,34,36,46..

..gotta go to watch our new channels, Friends is on!

National Forest Drive
Yesterday we bought a bikini top for the jeep and drove up into the National Forest.
It was misting and raining most of the way.
We did not see any cool wildlife, but there were some great views.
The fog near the top of Springer Mountain (the begining of the A.T.)
Black-Eyed Susan
Steve in the Jeep on the phone to make sure we were going the best way, since our brakes went out on us while we were on top of Springer Mountain. We finally made it home safely and Steve replaced the broken brake line. Since out trip was cut short, we hope to repeat the trip soon.Tuesday, August 08, 2006
School
The begining of the school year began yesterday. I have been really slow on postings due to pre-planning, a short trip to Myrtle Beach and kayaking.
Our "official" wedding pictures are on pictage. See the link to the right. You will have to search Kelly & Steve White-Bryant, Sautee, GA and sign in and use the "key" kswb.
I hope to be more current with posting after this first week.
